Telephone chain

One communicative and inexpensive way of guaranteeing emergency calls are telephone circles, organised by relatives, friends or in the neighbourhood, where all the participants regularly call each other in a fixed order. If a participant fails to answer, someone goes to have a look and notifies an emergency service, if necessary.
